Abstract: In this project, AZO/Ag/AZO multilayer films were deposited on polyester fabrics by RF magnetron sputtering technology to fabricate light control textiles. The prepared samples were systematically investigated with scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. Physical properties of the coated fabrics were evaluated by contact angle (CA), air permeability and ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) value. The results indicated that the coated polyester fabrics deposited by AZO (30 nm)/Ag (13 nm)/AZO (30 nm) multilayer film presented a high infrared reflection rate of 95 % and CA of about 91.5°, air permeability of 18 ml/s/cm2 at 100 Pa and UPF values of 35.01. The high infrared reflective property of the AZO/Ag/AZO coated textiles makes them promising candidates for light control.
