Abstract: A quasi-linear control strategy for regulating DC/DC converters under wide parameter variation is implemented using a digital signal processor. The design of this DSP-based controller is presented. Since the control method allows real-time modification of control parameters according to the changing environment, the resulting control shows significant improvement in performance over conventional methods. The proposed controller, being a programmable digital circuit, is highly reliable and flexible. The paper demonstrates the use of digital signal processors in controlling power converters.
