Abstract: Most existing algorithms for fault-tolerant event detection only assume that events are spatially, but we argue that events are usually both and temporally correlated. By examining the correlation of sensor measurements, we a detection algorithm by applying statistical test (SHT). SHT-based algorithm is more in detecting event regions, and is more energy since it avoids measurement exchanges. To the capability offault recognition, we extend based algorithm by examining both spatial and correlations of sensor measurements. The SHT-based algorithm can recognize almost faults when sensor network is densely deployed.
