Abstract: This paper presents a study on the behaviour of FRP-confined high-strength concrete (HSC) without silica fume. Results from a series of compression tests on FRP-confined HSC cylinders are first presented and interpreted to examine its behaviour. These results are then compared with the predictions of an analysis-oriented model recently developed by the authors' group for normal strength concrete, indicating that this model also provides close predictions for FRP-confined HSC.
