Abstract: Dynamic phasor (DP) models of generator and line with distributed parameters were developed using generalized averaging method in this paper. Then interface between generator and electric power network was discussed. The preliminary research on the hybrid simulation of dynamic phasor and electromagnetic transient program (DP-EMTP)was performed and implemented with the proposed DP models. The natural-decoupling characteristics of distributed parameter line equivalent circuit helped to decompose electric power network, and weighted curve fitting method improved the interface accuracy of hybrid simulation. The phase offset caused by frequency mismatch during the interaction were also depicted. Case studies on the test systems were performed to assess the performance of the DP models and verify the effectiveness and efficiency of DP-EMTP hybrid simulation.
