Abstract: The indexing and retrieval of dynamic textures remains one of the most challenging tasks in both computer vision and computer graphics. This paper first introduces the concept of intrinsic properties of dynamic textures, including Static Texture Features (STF) and Dynamic Texture Features (DTF), and then proposes an efficient method that utilizes these intrinsic properties for the indexing and retrieval of dynamic textures. Our proposed method is evaluated and compared to existing methods based on a variety of video texture samples. Experimental results show that our scheme can produce promising results.
