Abstract: A hybrid geometric representation of developing intelligent mannequins was propose. This representation combines a set of piecewise B-spline curves and meshes (PBCM) of modeling a human body obtained from scanner. Firstly, the scanned body in a form of point cloud is triangulated using Delaunay triangulation. Piecewise B-spline curves then interpolate the intersection points about horizontal planes and the triangulated model. By correctly indexing the points on the B-spline curves, a new triangle meshes are then generated and integrated with the B-spline curves. The intelligent mannequin modeled by the PBCM can be flexibly modified by input measurements of key positions. Garment pattern generation also benefits from the paramterization of the PBCM.
