Abstract: In this paper, the electrochemical performance of the MWCNTs/PEDOT-PSS composite is investigated and compared with the MWCNTs/PTFE composite. The results show that the specific capacitance of the MWCNTs/PEDOT-PSS composite is 1.5 times higher than pure PEDOT-PSS after 100 CV cycles, and the MWCNTs/PEDOT-PSS composite exhibits a knee frequency of 15.9 Hz, which is 3 times larger than the MWCNTs/PTFE composite. The results of scan rate-dependent cyclic voltammetry reveal that the CV curves of the MWCNTs/PEDOT-PSS composite exhibit excellent rectangular shape at a scan rate of 800 mV s-1, while the MWCNTs/PTFE does not have a rectangular shape when the scan rate rises to 400 mV s-1. It is found that PEDOT-PSS can still facilitate the specific capacitance of MWCNTs, although it loses the electroacitve species during the charging and discharging cycling, when compared with PTFE. The MWCNTs/PTFE composite gains distinct chemical stability over the charging and discharging cycling.
