Abstract: The characteristics of the combined fine-blanking and extrusion process are presented in this paper. A kind of large-strain analysis technique based on the experiment was introduced and improved, and a program for carrying out the improved technique was developed. With the mesh etching method and the developed program, the distorted mesh and the effective strain distribution on the meridian plane of the specimen were obtained. Consequently, the deformation law of the combined fine-blanking and extrusion process has been successfully revealed.
