The circuit equations of the power electronic converter and the finite element equations of magnetic field are directly coupled together and are solved simultaneously. The study reveals that if the effect of the free wheeling diodes is ignored in the computation, because the sudden change of the currents, additional numerical errors will be produced. A brushless d.c. motor model is developed to illustrate the problem. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10397/20117 | ISBN: | 978-1-4799-3276-4 | DOI: | 10.1109/PESA.2013.6828248 |
