Abstract: Previous studies on single-sided natural ventilation are mostly limited to very simple physical models, such as a single-room building model. Our recent on-site measurements have shown that previous empirical models established based on such simple physical models are inapplicable in multistory buildings. This study intends to compare the ventilation characteristics between single-room and multistory buildings with single-sided natural ventilation.
