dcterms.abstractAn efficient realization of the symmetric orthogonal discrete multiwavelet transform, using simple scaling and rotation matrix factorization, is proposed in this paper. Simulation results show that, by factorizing the polyphase matrix of the multiwavelet into a base matrix and a set of scaling and rotation matrices, the computational complexity can be greatly reduced.-
