Abstract: The chaotic dynamics of a current-programmed Cuk converter having no voltage feedback is studied. An iterative map that describes the operation of the circuit is derived, from which a route to chaos similar to that from a `tent' map is predicted. Computer simulation based on an exact piecewise switched model confirms the predicted route to chaos.
