Abstract: An efficient copper-catalyzed carbon–nitrogen bond formation is described. The copper(I) complex with commercially available 2-picolinic acid ligand was found to be effective in N-arylation of N-Boc-hydrazine. This methodology offers a regioselective N-arylation of hydrazides using a variety of substituted aryl iodides.
