Abstract: The article describes the development of a reliable frequency-tracking technique based on digital filtering. Based on the fundamental component and the filtered fundamental component, the exact power system frequency can be extracted. Simulation examples and real measurement are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.
