Abstract: Case management is an approach in social service delivery that receives increasing attention in fields like family, youth, elderly and residential services, etc. Effectively information and knowledge management is definitely a key to successful and efficient service delivery. In this paper, a knowledge management approach is proposed for case management. This leads to the formulation of a knowledge-based case library which serves the purpose of facilitating the acquisition, retention and transfer of knowledge among the case workers. Some potential benefits of the knowledge-based case library have been realized through a pilot study in a selected reference site.
