Abstract: Some new features of the implementation of the Mersenne-prime and Mersenne-composite number transforms, using a recursive filter technique, are presented. It is shown that different parallel architectures can be used for the computation of cyclic convolutions. These proposed structures also provide ways to extend the range of sequence lengths of the Mersenne number transform.
