Abstract: Renormalization group (RNG) theory is briefly introduced in simpler languages. The recursive RNG technique is shown to analyze the transport of incompressible turbulent flow. The effective transport coefficients such as renormalized eddy viscosity and thermal diffusivity are derived. The RNG approach might be applicable to all self-similar mixing processes. Possible applications to turbulence in engineering are presented.
