Abstract: A finite element model (FEM) of one span of Gascoigne Road Flyover in Hong Kong is presented using grillage method. And the FEM is further updated by response sensitivity based model updating method. The calculated dynamic responses after model updating match better with the measured ones than those from the original FEM. Study shows that the proposed method can be used to finite element model updating for engineering structures.
