Abstract: The invention discloses a fire extinguishing method and system capable of generating a continuous vortex ring, and the system comprises a cavity system which is internally provided with a cavity, the cavity is provided with a first opening and a second opening, and the second opening is a narrowed opening; the motion system is nested in the cavity system; the power system provides power for the motion system; and the control system provides control electric power for the power system. During working, the motion system periodically vibrates back and forth in the cavity system, and air in the cavity is pushed out of the second opening to form continuous and stable vortex ring pulses. Due to the fact that the diameter of the second opening is small, space dissipation of vibration kinetic energy of the movement system is reduced, the vibration kinetic energy of the movement system is used for generating the vortex ring in a more concentrated mode, the stability and the long-distance transmission capacity of the vortex ring are improved, and the stable and long-distance fire extinguishing effect is achieved.
