Abstract: Ag coated ZnO/Al2O3 distributed Bragg reflectors (DBRs), which were fabricated by a modified filtered cathodic vacuum arc technique at room temperature, shown the formation of visible Tamm plasmon polaritons (TPP). By varying the thickness of Ag and top ZnO dielectric layer of the DBR, it can be verified that the excitation of dip at the stopband of the reflection spectrum is related to TPPs. As visible light was used to excite TPPs, the corresponding effective mass can be reduced to 1.3 x 10(-5) of the free electron mass.
